To support Newfound Ventures in sourcing and acquiring a small business. The program participants will gain real-world exposure to deal sourcing, financial modeling, valuation, and M&A processes. This internship will serve as a valuable learning experience and a resume builder, while helping us scale our acquisition pipeline.
Research and build a pipeline of small business targets using databases, directories, and LinkedIn
Conduct outreach campaigns to business brokers, owners, and local service providers
Track and manage interactions using CRM tools
Coordinate and follow up on initial interest calls and materials requests
Create financial models to analyze potential acquisitions
Conduct market research, industry benchmarking, and risk assessments
Help evaluate business operations, customer base, revenue trends, and profitability
Support in preparing investment memos for internal review
Current undergrad or graduate student (Finance, Business, Econ, or related field)
Strong analytical and communication skills
Familiar with Excel, basic valuation, and financial concepts
Self-starter comfortable working independently and remotely
Passion for small business, entrepreneurship, or investment
Exposure to private equity, M&A, and entrepreneurship through acquisition (ETA)
Hands-on experience sourcing and evaluating real acquisition targets
Skill-building in financial modeling, CRM systems, and due diligence frameworks
A letter of recommendation and internship credit (if applicable)
